Just letting everyone know about the activities that we have planned for you guys this summer. We had a meeting today and some of you guys were not at church… So here goes…
Solo les estoy avisando de las actividades que tenemos planeado para ustedes este verano. Tuvimos una reunión hoy y algunos no estuvieron hoy en la iglesia… aquí les va…
1. Friday June 19th Viernes Junio 19
This Friday June 19th we have a Vigil (vigilia) in Hempstead. We must be at the church by 7 the latest 7:15 so we can carpool to the Hempstead church. So this Friday the meeting will be at Hempstead. We want all to go so let us know if you need a ride to the church.
Este viernes Junio 19 tenemos una vigilia en la iglesia de Hempstead. Por lo cual nos necesitamos reunir en la iglesia a las 7 lo más tarde a las 7:15 para podernos ir juntos. Entonces este viernes la reunión será en la iglesia de Hempstead. Si necesitan transporte para la iglesia déjennos lo saber para poder organizar transporte y que todos podamos ir.
2. Saturday June 27th Sábado Junio 27
We would like to remind you all about the semi-annual youth group meeting with the association of Baptist churches. This is important so we can get to know each other and make new friends. So that when we go to the retreat it is not so awkward when we see each other again. For this we will have to leave early since we have to go to Corona Queens. We need to know who can go so we can arrange transportation.
Date: Sat 27 of July
Time: 5:30pm (we might have to meet at our church 2:30 or 3pm) We will let you guys know more later.

Quisiera recordarles a todos la reunión semi-annual de jóvenes de la asociación de iglesias bautistas. Esta reunión es muy importante para conocernos y para que cuando lleguemos al retiro no nos sintamos entre extraños cuando nos volvamos a ver. Para este evento nos tendremos que reunir temprano ya que tenemos que ir hasta Corona Queens. Tenemos que saber quiénes van para arreglar el transporte

3. Wednesday July 1st Miercóles Julio 1ro
We have been waiting to do this for some time. So here it is SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE!!
For this again we need to know who is going because we need to buy the tickets in advance. We can get group pricing if we have a group of 15 or more but we need to know ASAP…The cost for the tickets with group pricing will be about $27.50 per person for every 10 we get 2 free chaperone tickets so it may be less if we them divide the cost. We need to know by Friday a definite head count to order online. Please let Carlos or myself know as soon as possible once we buy the tickets we can’t back out. LMK
Hemos estado esperando por esto hace mucho tiempo. Y aquí está el viaje a la GRAN AVENTURA (SIX FLAGS)
Para este evento también necesitamos saber quiénes van a ir. Ya que tenemos que ordenar los boletos con anticipación para que nos den el descuento de grupo. El grupo tiene que ser de 15 o más para que cada boleto nos salga más o menos a $27.50 cada uno. Por cada 10 personas nos dan 2 boletos gratis para los chaperones. Es decir que al dividir el costo nos saldría aun más barato. Este viernes necesito saber el número total ya que tenemos que ordenar los boletos. Por favor dejarle saber a Carlitos o a mí lo más pronto posible porque al comprar los boletos no nos podemos echar para atrás.
4. The Youth group retreat September 4th 5th 6th and 7th Labor Day Weekend
El Retiro de Jóvenes Septiembre 4, 5,6 y 7 Fin de semana del día del trabajo
It will be at the same place as last year Camp of the Woods check it out www.campofthewoods.org
The organizers have been working really hard to listen to our suggestions from last year to make things better. So you guys will be very pleased. The cost is the same as last year $175 we need to get your deposit right away. The deposit is $50 some of you guys started giving money already so I will be giving you guys a paper with the total is minus what you have given and your balance. If you guys can give $50 a month by the time September comes you guys will be paid off. Keep that in mind.
We are planning to have bake sales a couple of times before the retreat to help with the transportation cost remember this is not included but so that we don’t have to pay more we need your help. The bake sales we will be talking about on the Fridays to follow.

Los organizadores están trabajando arduamente para complacer todas las sugerencias que les dimos el año pasado. El costo es el mismo de $175 por persona y necesitamos el depósito lo más pronto posible. El depósito es de $50, algunos ya comenzaron a aportar dinero entonces yo les estaré dando un papel con la cantidad que es menos lo que ya aportaron y el saldo. Si todos damos $50 al mes de aquí hasta Septiembre tendríamos pagado para esa fecha el retiro. Recuerden es mucho más fácil poco a poco que de un solo todo. Estaremos organizando actividades para que logremos pagar transporte ya que esto no va incluido. Entonces para no subir el costo del viaje necesitamos su cooperación y ayuda, de las actividades estaremos hablando los viernes.
Youth Meeting
There’s a youth meeting every friday at 7:30 PM. They are held at the Church building, so visit us there!
